Cosiness and comfort are the two words that best describe the catamaran Lagoon 380, which is a vessel built by the French yacht builder Beneteau. Vessels of this series are very popular in the Mediterranean region and are perfect for both day sailing and multi-day catamaran chartering.
What makes a catamaran different from a yacht? The twin-hulled body of the catamaran makes it steadier in high winds and waves. Whereas a yacht tends to keel sideways in high winds, a catamaran will remain steady. What sailing on a catamaran lacks in terms of sporting excitement, it more than makes up for in terms of comfort.
Amenities on the Lagoon 380
A catamaran is much more spacious than a yacht. Its design makes it possible to fill the space between the two hulls with a broad saloon and sunbathing net. Passengers lying on the net during a cruise experience some most unusual and relaxing feelings.
At the centre of a saloon is an oval table with seating for eight guests. It is adjoined by a well-fitted galley with the usual amenities you’ll find in a domestic kitchen including a gas cooker, sink, fridge and hot and cold water. For the comfort of guests, the catamaran also has a 12V power system, autonomous heating and two toilets, a shower and, last but not least, a music system that’s guaranteed to get you and your guests in a good mood.
